Battery disposal instructions The following note is directed to those who use batteries or products with built-in batteries and no longer resell them in the form supplied to them (end users).

I Free return of used batteries Batteries must not be disposed of in household waste. You are legally obliged to return used batteries so that proper disposal can be guaranteed. You can drop off used batteries at a municipal collection point or at local retailers.

We, too, as a distributor of batteries, are obliged to take back used batteries, whereby our obligation to take back used batteries is limited to batteries of the type that we carry or have carried as new batteries in our range. II Meaning of battery symbols Batteries are marked with a crossed-out garbage can symbol. This symbol indicates that batteries must not be disposed of with household waste. For batteries containing more than 0.0005 percent by weight of mercury, more than 0.002 percent by weight of cadmium, or more than 0.004 percent by weight of lead, the chemical designation of the respective pollutant used is located beneath the garbage can symbol - "Cd" stands for cadmium, "Pb" for lead, and "Hg" for mercury.

III Starter batteries The following special features apply to the sale of starter batteries: The seller is obliged pursuant to § 10 BattG to charge a deposit of 7.50 euros including VAT from end users if the end user does not return a used starter battery to the seller at the time of purchase of the new starter battery. This deposit fee is included in the purchase price. The deposit will ONLY be refunded if you return a used vehicle battery directly to us.

Returning your vehicle battery by post or parcel service is generally not possible as it is hazardous material. A refund of the deposit is excluded if you dispose of the battery through third parties. Alternatively, you can dispose of the used battery free of charge at the recycling centers in your area.
